About conference
The International Conference PhysicA.SPb has been held in St. Petersburg since the mid-1990s. In recent years, the Conference has been gathering about 400 participants from various regions of Russia, near and far abroad. It is traditionally attended by scientists from higher educational institutions and scientific organizations, as well as undergraduate and graduate students conducting research in various fields of physics and astronomy.
The main goals of the Conference are the development of regional and international scientific cooperation, the creation of conditions for the exchange of ideas and research results, the systematization of topical problems, the identification of trends in the development of scientific research, as well as the publication of peer-reviewed papers in the international scientific press.
From 2012 to 2022, the extended abstracts of the reports of the PhysicA.SPb conference in English were published in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (IOP Publishing).
From 2023, extended abstracts of the Physics A.SPb conference reports in the format of full-fledged articles up to 6 pages in russian after passing the standard peer review procedure will be published in special issues of journals published by the Ioffe Institute: Journal of Technical Physics, Optics and Spectroscopy, Solid State Physics, Physics and Technology of Semiconductors, Letters to the Journal of Technical Physics. Translations of peer-reviewed papers will be published in English versions of the Ioffe Institute journals: Technical Physics, Optics and Spectroscopy, Physics of the Solid State, Semiconductors, Technical Physics Letters.
The Program Committee of the Conference pays great attention not only to the fundamental, but also to the applied significance of the reports presented, which makes it possible to unite the entire spectrum of physical sciences, including astrophysics, plasma physics, solid state physics, semiconductor physics and biophysics, within one conference.
The working languages of the Conference PhysicA.SPb are Russian and English.
